Hi,

Does anyone know if it is possible to travel from further up the Yangtze river (past Chongqing) to the three gorge dam. Really i would like to know if you could start from after the Tiger Leaping Gorge and boat down to the 3 gorge dam. Is that too dangerous.
Thanks if anyone can help

Hi,
From what I have been able to find out from inquiries there does not seem to be any public river transport upstream from CQ. However at the request of some friends in the area who are interested in cruising a portion upstream from CQ to Luzhou or reverse or upstream from Luzhou to Yibin I am looking into the possibilities of chartering a vessel.

It may be possible to charter a vessel but it is doubtful??????

When I know more I will let you know. If anyone has any other information we would all be greatful to hear about it. Can any of the locals in Chongqing area make some inquiries. Information in English is always limited in comparison to Chinese Language Websites.

Thanks
