I am 1 day away from purchasing my airline tickets to China. This is the first time I'll be going outside of the US and the first time I've ever had to apply for a Visa. I will be driving up to Chicago, the closest consulate to Indianapolis, and wanted to be sure I brought everything with me that I need. Can anyone help me out? I feel like I've read different things regarding proof of hotel, proof of flight, etc. and I'm a bit confused. Thanks.

Hi, Aimster702! Which kind of Chinese visa do you want to apply for? According to the applicants' identity, visiting purpose and passport type, the Chinese visa falls into different categories. If what you need is the Tourism Visa (L), so it is necessary to produce evidence of exit travel arrangements in the form of air, rail or ship tickets for the onward/return journey to the appropriate destination, and your travel itinerary as well. If you want to know more, you can visit: http://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa.htm http://www.fmprc.gov.cn/ Hope it can give you a help :-D

Thanks! I would be applying for a visitor's visa. So, if I have an e-itinerary printout of my flight schedule, will that work?
