Hi everyone, I am trying to make a decision here. By the end of March 2006 me and a group of graduate students are going to China. At the beginning we decided to go to Shanghai, witch the program decided to change it to other places, because of the bird flu. The thing is that now, instead of going to Shanghai we are going 3 places:Qingdao (3 days),Beijing (2 days), and Tianjin (3 days). The price for this is stimated in $1600, including everything (Ticket, staying, etc). We read a few comments about Tianjin, not very good. So I will like to know what you guys think. Should we buy a ticket to Shanghai by our own (Althouth is $1,400 hotel and flight), or should we go to this three places? What do you think about this places?

for sightseeing or research ?
If you just want to spend a pleasant journey ,you can choose Beijing(3 days) ,Qingdao(2 days) and Shanghai(3 days )
I don't know how much the int'l flight ticket is ,but $1600 is enough for your living in China if you don't expect a luxurious tour

Qingdao is considered one of the best places for people's living. It is a good choice for you to spend your holiday. Fresh air, vast and blue sea, crystal clear sky! An amazing city in China!

1600 sounds like a good deal. It might end up costing you much
more to do it alone because you will have to figure out all the
places to visit and in such a short time you might be better off
with a tour. I don't think there is a bad place to visit in china. I
have been here travelling for 2 weeks and love every bit of it. I
love Qingdoa the most. Its gorgeous and Beijing is fun for
culture, food and shopping. Go with the tour! it will be fun
enjoy
