Leshan and Emeishan

Hi guys, I am planning to be in Chengdu in July. I am thinking of going to Emeishan and Leshan while I am there. I know that Emeishan and Leshan are about 3 hours away. If I leave early in the morning from Chengdu, will I be able to tour Leshan and make it back to Chengdu in the same day? Will I be able to do the same for Emeishan?

It is possible for you to Leshan and return to Chengdu in the same day, but impossible for Emeishan. Considering Leshan locating between Emeishan and Chengdu, I advice you stay overnight in Leshan, and set off to Emeishan next day.

In addition, the Giant Buddha is indeed a fascinating and great wonder!

It will be a waste not to have a proper look of Emei shan (another world heritage). There is accommodation available up on the mountain of EmeiShan (Golden Peak) and I was told the Sun Rise is worth seeing. Personal never been (yet), but I will be visiting that part, in end of July as well.
