How long is the ride from the Chengdu airport to the city of Chengdu? Is there a bus or taxi? Can anyone tell me more about the transportation between airpot and the city? Thanks

There have to options: one is the shuttle bus, the other is the taxi. Take taxi if I were you. Taxi can take you to your destination and any place in Chengdu city as you like. From the airport to city, it takes you RMB100 at most. It would be cheaper if you are an expert in bargain.

Hey, to reach the city from the airport, you can either take a bus, or take a taxi. Taxi woudl cost you around 60 Yuan.(Try to negotiate)

The shuttle bus from the airport only cost RMB8-10, and take about 35 minutes. If take taxi, it would take about RMB40. Do have a bargain with driver firstly.

Do not bargain with the driver. Just pay as the price displayed in the counter. It won't take you more than 50RMB. On the contrary, if you bargain with the driver, they will definitely cheat you out of money.

i prefer bargain, coz some of them wont charge u what on the meter. i take a cap from airport to city cost me about 70rmb. i think 40 is enough. but not sure, at least ask the price be4 u get in. bargaining with a reasonable price shows u know sometime. no bargain they sure cheat u as a dum

In any city, if you take long-distance car ride, for example, from the airport to downtown, you'd better negotiate an ideal and fixed price with the driver. Please do not believe the number on the counter, because you never know whether the driver detour or not. Of course most of them is firendly and honest. Bargaining before taking is smart!

Why not just take a normal bus or train?
