Budget hotels in Xian - Where to stay?

Hi guys,

I would like to know where is a good budget hotel/youth hostel to stay in Xian. So far in this forum, I only heard about Shu Yuan Hostel. I did a check on some websites and the reviews of the hostel revolves around good to bad.

Are there any other hostels that are better than Shu Yuan? Please advice thanks!

I think shuyuan is good,and they have different kinds of rooms!

how much do you want to spend ?

Shuyuan is not suitable for staying recently , because it is under reconstruction so far as I know .

Oh it's under reconstruction? I am arriving in xian on the 9th morning. Will it be done by the time i arrive? What other good alternatives do I have? Thanks!

I just saw a board in front of the road written " constructing ,please make the round of here " I don't know whether it is still opening .or you can call them to ask the detail (029)-87287721

ShuYuan is/was the best!
Forget all places around the train station, we changed as soon as possible. Too many hair dresser, if you know what I mean;-)

Thanks I will call the place when I arrive in China. By the way, can anyone give me a report on the Qi Xian Hostel? It sounds pretty good on some websites. Anyone has any experience? Cheers!
