Transportation from Pudong Airport to Shanghai City Centre

Subway can take you there. Take subway line 2 from the Pudong airport to People's Square, get off and then change to line 8 to Dashijie, then walk about 300 meters to the hotel.
From Hongqiao airport, your son can take subway line 10 to Laoximen, then change to line 8 to Dashijie, get off and then walk to your hotel. FYI: http://www.travelchinaguide.com/images/map/shanghai/subway-map.jpg

The nearest subway station to this hotel is Nanjing East Road Station. You can take subway line 2 from Pudong airport, line 10 from Hongqiao airport to get there, then take a taxi to reach the hotel.

Take airport shuttle bus line 5 from Pudong Airport to Shanghai Railway Station. It stops at the southern square of the railway station. The ticket fare is CNY 16-22 based on the distance. Time duration: around 80 minutes. Then you have to walk to the north square of the railway station because your hotel is located there.

maybe you just take the taxi which is more easily considering heavy luggage.
