This topic has brought me amusement. I was teaching my students the songs Jingle Bells and Silver Bells. My one class is so much fun and since I intend on giving out presents I was working on Santa Claus is coming to town. I gave special emphasis to 'he knows if you've been bad or good'. They clapped and asked for more.

Christmas in my country is the summertime - we enjoy spending time on the beach in the warm sun.

Can't say I am a big fan of Christmas though - in Western countries it's become a marketing plan - the shops start selling Christmas things at the beginning of November - they just want your money!

As for the religious aspect - many people now know that Christmas has nothing to do with real Christianity - it's not in the Christian Bible at all!

Agree with you about Xmas...

Here in my little piece of NE China we are having a party on Christmas Eve for Westerners & Chinese and a 'Secret Santa' too, limited to 20RMB. Should be fun.

Hi,Mishen,

Untill yesterday,I knew there was summer christmas day in the world,sorry for that!And last night,I have a dinner with a canadian boy,his mother comes from NZ,and he will go there on 17th Dec.He said he will spend christmas day in summer,haha:-)Yes!NZ is in summer now!!!

And which city do you stay in NE China???Shenyang,Changchun,Harbin or Dalin???I also come from NE:-)Did it snow now???
