Yeah, this name is made for jokes, I agree;-)

Actually Adidas and Puma are founded by two brothers. They first worked together, but after a quarrel one of them started Puma. ADIDAS is just a combination of the names Adi Dassler (AdiDas).
Why do I know that? Because it is a famous business story from DeGuo.
