When singers die sometimes they become more popular. Music fans rushed to buy their CDs. I remember that when Teresa Teng died a few years ago, her CDs are completely sold out.

Why is this happening?

This happen to western singers too. They become more popular after they die. Here are some of them.

1. John Lennon (The Beatles)
2. Freddie Mercury (Queen)
3. Jim Morrison ( The Doors)
4. Elvis Presley
5. Richie Valens
6. Buddy Holly

I think some of those western examples were just as popular before they died as after they died... especially during "Beatles Mania" and "Elvis Mania."

Another example could be Kurt Cobain from Nirvana. Who went from a popular alternative rock band in the 1990's to a "band who changed music" after Kurt comitted suicide in 1994.
