I have a notebook computer. Anyone know which Chongqing coffee houses offer internet access (wireless or LAN)? And cost? Many thanks. jim

Friends of mine use the Hilton Business Centre 4th floor wireless and broadband with thier own laptops and there is no charge. CG is a big place. What district are you? There is a nice coffee shop in Jiangbei's Paradise Walk Shopping Mall called Fiskos with free internet when you buy a cuppa. Don't know about using your own Notebook but you could try it if your in the area. But give the Hilton a try!

Many thanks, will try Hilton. I'll be visiting CQ for 2 weeks later this month. Not sure if I'll stay either Jeifengbei or Shapingba. I think SPR Coffee allows use of internet (i.e. their computer) with coffee, but don't know if they provide connection for your own notebook. Thanks for the info. jim

Just FYI: Haven't tried Hilton yet, but been happy with SPR Coffee in JFB (free wi fi). Blendz coffee, also in JFB, unfortunately doesn't offer any internet access. Strolled over to Mariott lobby, but price is 30 rmb per hour (buy card at front desk) for wi-fi access.

Three Corner Cafe (in JFB) also has free wi-fi. Western style breakfast is 16 rmb. (A little too greasy for me.)
