| buy a Shenzhouxing prepaid SIM card from CHINA MOBILE with a minimum of RMB50 call value. It carries number 136xxxxxxxx. China Mobile branches are all over China. Card can be topped up any time. You can use it to make/receive China local calls as well as overseas IDD calls or to short-message China and overseas. Charges are reasonable. RMB 50 is valid for 3 months effective from the time of first usage, RMB100 6 months, RMB50+RMB100 is 9 months and so on. Keep the card as souvenir or discard it when you leave China. OR you can keep it with sufficient value stored for next China trip |

| Hi Joyce, if you just need to be within reach or capable to make an emergency call, just stick to your common phone card from Europe. So did I with my card from Germany and it worked out fine for the last three trips! ElCabron |
