Hello, I will be managing an office in Shenzhen for a foreign company. Does anybody have any informations about the health assistance, rights and other information which a foreign worker should know?

I am italian and I will be managing an office in Shenzhen. I have signed a contract with the chinese company (italian branch)

Ok,I have medical assistance but if I get injured by an accident after work hour, what happen? Are there hospital for foreigners? Do I have to pay? Should I clarify with my company?

Most major cities in China have one or more 'showpeice' hospitals which are designated to take care of any unfortunate foreigner who should fall ill or get injured.

But hey, what are you so worried about.

I've been here three years and seen the inside of a few hospitals but never personally needed to use one. I know two males that have been admitted for food poisoning and respitory ailments?????

What about the rest you you ex-pats. Who has needed hospitalization. And what's the good and bad news out there?????
