Hi Conny, Thanks for your kind reply. I'm looking forward to visiting Xian very much. Yes, I agree spring seems be better overall for the weather both in Xian and in Guizhou/Guangxi. But, I must choose between the best season for weather or the best season to avoid crowds. At this point in time, I am leaning towards going in late March rather than late April. From reading your posts I think you live in Xian? I'd like to ask your advice more later when I get my plans together a bit more! Kind regards, chchcm

Hi Jabarootoo, Thanks for your reply again. I guess six weeks shouldn't make so much of a difference. It would seem the rainfall is lower in March than April but on the other hand rain is a lot more pleasant when it is warm than cool. I guess I would like to know just how cool and rainy it could get.:) Yes, I grew up mostly in Christchurch. I've been living in Japan for six years. Kind regards, chchcm

Hi California, >From Yangshuo to Guangzhou, the sleeper bus was really good Sounds just what I need to hear! I think I will avoid Guilin in preference of Yangshou and take the overnight sleeper bus to my final destination Guangzhou. Thank you for your kind advice! chchcm
