Hangzhou\Shaoxing in Zhejiang province also near shanghai! Six famous watervillage around shanghai:Zhouzhuang,Tongli,Xitang,Wuzhen,Luzhi and Nanxun. Good luck!

Sorry,I forgot to tell you the cities close to Beijing:

Tianjin,a seaside city;

Chengde,Qinhuangdao in Hebei province,and you can visit Bashang Grassland,summer resort and Little Patala in Chengde!

Qinghuangdao is also a seaside city,about 2.5 hours from Beijing by train,and shanghaiguan is the beginning of the Great Wall.

Datong and Taiyuan,Pingyao in Shanxi province,about 4 hours or 6 hours from beijing by bus or by train!!!

Laiyuan in Hebei province,there was a Heave Grassland,fantastic!!!

BARI Points: Join Date: May 8, 2005 Status: Offline	Watertown nearest to Shanghai would be Zhujiajiao. I went there in November. It was beautiful.
