We should I take to the Great Wall? Taxi or bus?

Is that very scary to take a bus to the Great Wall, since I cannot get a bus back? Is it worth to take a taxi instead? Anyone know where I can hire a driver for one whole day and the price?

What things or food I should not miss in Beijing?

As for tourist attraction, the Forbidden City shouldn't be missed.
As for delicacy, the Beijing roast duck shouldn't be missed.

Actually,I don't know which sections of Great Wall will you visit!Badaling Great Wall was for most tourists.You can take a bus from Tian'anmen Square,and the bus will wait you until your travelling.

If you rent a taxi,you can find it in the street,and the price about 300---500RMB!

Forbidden City,Summer Palace,Heaven Temple......So much that you can't miss!

To save time and effort, it's usually worth it to take a taxi to the Great Wall and back, especially if you can get other fellow travellers to share with you.

Max prices for taxi to various parts of Great Wall (round-trip):
Badaling 200 RMB
Mutianyu 350 RMB
Jinshanling 450 RMB
Simatai 500 RMB
Jinshanling-Simatai (drop at JSL, pick-up at SMT) 500 RMB

I took a bus to Simatai for about $11 US. Good deal and conveniant.

Both bus and taxi can take you there, and both are safe, but the price difference will be a little bit considerable:-)

In Work Stadium,there was a company who provides the service for travelling to Simatai Great Wall.

You can connect with the girl,about 90RMB by bus!
