Beijing Accomodation and Tour

My husband and I will be travelling to Beijing in October and staying at the SongHe Hotel. I would appreciate comments from anyone who's stayed there. We will also be visiting the Great Wall and wonder if we should join a tour or hire a taxi. What are the prices of tours/taxi we should expect.

We use Songhe Hotel in Beijing and receive no complaint from our clients. If you decide not to take a tour, you may get to Qian Men Bus Station. There are shuttling tourist buses ( No.1 Tourist Bus) to Badaling Great Wall and the Ming Tombs. The buses departs around every 30 minutes or so from 6:00 am to 12:00 am daily. The fare is 45 or 50, covering transportation to and back. Or you may take No.2 Tourist Bus near Beijing Railway Station. Taking a tour or hiring a taxi will be a a little expensive but you may be tended well.
