I live in Hong Kong and want to ski in China (It doesn't matter where). My worry is that I've heard horror stories about the poor facilities and lack of international quality resorts. Can anyone suggest places to go and places to avoid? Thanks c

Have you read any of the other threads on the forum. This question has been posed a few times and I think pretty adequately answered for you to get some ideas about where might be OK to try. I think you'll find the facilities in most of resorts are world class. It's not something they can afford to mess up on too much. But If you're worried about the quality of facilities, why not try somewhere like New Zealand where the skiing is also pretty good value for money. What's the attraction of China? Are you a first time skier?

Thanks for your reply. I looked for posts on this, but couldn't find any. Which places in China do you consider world class? That's what I'm hoping for. Thanks again. c.

While the facilities may be first class the ski slopes may not be as difficult as many world class resorts that offer beginners thru to the most challenging black 'runs'. Check the Web site listing the resorts and thier ski slope ratings. You should be able to gfind the percentage of green, blue, black on offer. again so much depends on your experience and expectations!!!!!1
