Hello,
I am a 20yr old female from Vancouver Island in Canada who will be travelling to Nanjing in January to teach English. This is my first time to Nanjing, and to China. I'm really excited - scared, but excited. Can anyone give me advice on what to bring/pack, what the nightlife is like, any "must-see" sites ... basically, any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
Bailey

HI, welcome to China!! You will be fine in Nanjing, one of the oldest cities of China. According to my owen experience, Jan is still quite cold in Nanjing, so you'd better take warm clothing!

There are a great deal to see in and around Nanjing. Check this: http://www.travelchinaguide.com/attraction/jiangsu/nanjing/index.htm
You can also go to Shanghai,Suzhou,Wuxi, etc. during your weekend or holidays. They are not too far away from Nanjing.

What's more, Jan. 29 is our traditional Spring Festival and we will have a 7-day holiday.Be aware of the heavy traffic!!

Anyway, if you have any further questions, just tell us!!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
Wish you enjoy your days in China!!
BTW, you are really young and beautiful ^o^
