AFOKTAY Points: Join Date: Feb 15, 2005 Status: offline	am currently reading a beautiful book: Swallowing Clouds, Delightfuly going thru Chinese Culture and cousine and teaching Hanzi characters at the same time!! In the book there is mention of Cantonese soups, how deliciuous and healthy they are,how they are made into an almost religion in the region, how they are treated as a kind of health food, there being a different soup for diffferent states of body. The book also says the soops are not easy to make but there are ready made packages, not instant soup but real ingredients put togather in proper amounts, where you just add the meat and cook. Does anyone know 1- Where such soup packages would be sold in Beijing? 2- Where one can enjoy these soups in Beijing? 3- A good book in Chinese or English that gives information on and recipes of Cantonese soups?
