Hi there to all of you

I am interested to come in shanghai for tourist and bussines pourposes. So I am interested if any one can tell me how are the prices for the laptops in shanghai and can I find a accomodation for two for around 20-30 $. Thank you

20-30 USD for a private room should be fine though slightly on the low end if you're considering something really well-located. When are you coming to Shanghai?

I am coming around 20 of january so how will the prices be than for a standard room for two adults ?

You'll still be able to get hotel rooms for your budget, but you'll have to book early and the locations won't be very convenient. At the very least, you won't be located near to metro stations. Expect rooms to be around 2/3-star standard. If you have your dates confirmed, I can look around for suitable recommendations.

During the regular season, it is possible to get a room for two at $20-$30, such as Motel 168, which is RMB168, it is about $21, plus 15% tax. BUT Jan 29, 2006 is Chinese New Year, it will be either very crowded or planty of rooms at these places.

These new 2-3 star motels are relative new, and most of them are more likely 1-2 years old.
