I'll be spending a day in Lanzhou sometime this week (on my way to urumqi), are there any special sites or happenings I should not miss?

1, Riverside park along which you will see the Statue of the Mother of the Yellow River - very modern:) but since it doesnot cost money, it is worthwhile for a stop and taking a picture立此存照:)

2, The White Pagoda Hill Park

3, The Iron Bridge

4, The Waterwheel Park

5, The Five Springs Park

You can cover them all within one day. Remember to try the beef noodles and the many other kinds of local snacks.
