can you suggest a private, english speaking guide in beijing? we were there 10 years ago and would like to go back to the great wall as well as other interesting sites.
also want to buy pearls for wholesale prices as i work with a jeweler.

Do you know about the Pearl Market? Hongqiao Shichang is the Chinese name I think. It's absolutely fantastic. A large portion of the top floor is dedicated to pearls. About 4 years ago, I was able to get a set of two earrings, a necklace and a bracelet (authentic pretty pink pearls) for no more than $10 US...and the more you buy, the lower your prices will be. I think the market is located near the Temple of Heaven...definitely worth your time! Hope that helps!
