Hi
My boyfriend is learning the art of Wing Chun. We are planning a trip to China, starting in Shanghai in September.
I was wondering if anyone knew where we could go to watch or participate in Wing Chun in China??

Haha, I don't speak Cantonese, but I get tiny little bit of pronunciation rules of Cantonese, so I guess Wing Chun is just like Yongchun - 咏春,there is a kind of martial art with the same name to match it.

Well, California, do you know about it - yongchun martial art?

Sorry, I don't know much about it. I searched from the internet and got the following information:

There is such an organization called "Scientific Ving Tsun(Wing chun) Martial Art Research Association China", it is located in Hong Kong.

Tel : (852) - 24010000
Fax : (852) - 24242200
Email: gmail.com|24010000hk

Why not email them for some details?

Rita - thanks for your help.

I don't know the chinese name for Wing Chun. It is the combat martial chart which Bruce Lee does.

I will email that website you suggested!

and for the best places in china to watch or participate in wing chun, i can only recommend the website of the main Wing Chun (Ving Tsun) association in the world, based in hong kong: http://www.vingtsun.org.hk/
