My husband & I will be moving to Shanghai & want to bring our cats. Will they be okay flying while sedated? Will they be safe in China?

Welcome to China! Shanghai is a beautiful city. I have stayed there for 6 months in 2004. Now I am in Haikou, the capital city of Hainan Province. In Shanghai there are a lot of wonderful restaurants, one of which located in the ex-British Ambassy in Xujiahui District. Try it upon your arrival.

To answer your second question: You don't have to worry that someone will do anything bad to your cat. However Shanghai will be much more ensecure for your cat than in the US, because the traffic is much more chaotic and the probability that your catch will be run over is very high. The cat-owners I know in Shanghai don't let there cat got out of the house/flat. Greeting. Luckthunder more about Shanghai: http://home.arcor.de/

I have not seen any stray cats in Shanghai. Like someone said, they may get run over by vehicles on the roads. Cats are pretty dumb so don't let them out of your house. They won't be able to find their way back. And remember, some chinese love to eat cats.
