I have a 6 year old daughter in Ist grade. Does anyone know of an international school or private school using English as the main language of instruction in Dalian

I´ll be moving to Dalian soon with my family. I have taken a look at this website and it looks promising. Does anyone have an experience of this school? If so please share your thoughts about it, be it pro or con.

I don't, but I just want to say that after having lived in Dalian for two years, I couldn't recommend a better city for foreigners to live in within China. It's comfortable, a good size, by the sea, and modern. I love the place and I wish you and your families the best!

There is a new International American School opening in August of 2006 in Dalian. It will be operated by International School Services out of Princeton, NJ in the US.

I am a teacher at Dalian Maple Leaf International school - at the
high school though. The school is a British Columbia (Canada)
school and is excellent and very professionally run. I haven't been
to the elementary school myself, but you can contact the school for

is the mapple leaf senoir high school in dalian only a boarding
school? or is it for commuting students as well?

The new American International school website is www.daischina.org. The school phone number is 86-411-8792 3861
Some part of the school will be underconstruction. I am also looking for a school for next year. Hope this information helps.

As Kerry mentioned earlier, there is a Canadian Maple Leaf School
in Dalian, at Tiger Beach. Grade levels are from Kg (born 2001 for
entry in Sept 2006) to grade 9. All teachers are British Columbia
certified, the school uses the BC Curriculum, and is inspected
annually by the BC Ministry of Education. Next September, most of
the classes will be single grades, with a maximum of 20 per class.
