Generally speaking, taking taxi from Beijing Airport to the downtown (for example Tiananmen Square) would cost about RMB 90.
But there arrange the shuttle buses at the airport. and why not to take shuttle bus? It would be much cheaper than taxi.

It is very convenient from the any one airport to any places of downtown. In Pudong Airport, there are 6 airport special bus lines which can take you to the any place you want, or the place near the one that you want to. And the bus fee is much cheaper than taxi, about RMB 25 at most for the whole course.

This is a very helpful topic indeed. Thank you very much.

I dont know if this should be a separate topic or not but i have opened one for Beijing. For those who knows how, please post here in the forum which buses to take - what number - if one wants to go to say the Forbiddent City or to the Asian Games Village/BICC (the thread i started).

Thank you very much.

There is no direct bus between these two places. You have to transfer another bus.

The taxi fee in Jinan is so much like the one in Xi'an. RMB7 for the first three kilomters, and RMB1.2 for each additional.
If you want to take taxi from the Jinan Airport to downtown area, it would cost you about RMB80, or RMB90 if the taxi go the highway.

the cabc fee in Hangzhou should be in the top rank among most big cities from whatever the model or the service. You can easily find that Passat, Citroen Picasso, Bor and Sonata as the usual automobiles are running on the road.
So the price starts from RMB10 fir the first four kilometers, and RMB2.4 for each additional kilometer if beyond 8 kilometers.
And you'd better take the tricycle for near place, because it starts at RMB5, much cheaper than taxi.

In Urumqi,Xinjiang you'd better take a taxi instead of bus for avoiding the pocketpicks in the crowd. Generally, the flag fall is RMB6 (within 2 km), and most journey around town should be RMB10-15.

hi,jasmine!

Compared with Hangzhou, the taxi fee in Urmuqi is so cheap! I wen to Hangzhou last year, and found the flag fall there is normally 10 yuan and only a short journey cost me 30yuan. but i dare say that the taxis in Hangzhou are in the top rank among China’s big cities.
