has anyone been to Lijiang before? My boyfriend and I will spend our honeymoon there and I want some useful details. Thanks!!

Lijiang old town is very pretty, it is surrounded by a very new and slighlty depressing city. As soon as you are in the windy steets of the old town you forget all that though. Lijiang is just a nice place to be, great food and coffee, I don't know your budget but the accomodation ranges from very affordable to very expensive, there are alot of great places in the old town and would def. reccomend staying in the old town.The town is very touristy though, lots of shops selling the same stuff but I still enjoyed. If you have time take a few days and hike the Tiger Leaping Gorge, there are some difficult parts but nothing that someone with a good level of fitness can't overcome, and you are rewarded with amaziung views. Congrats on the wedding and enjoy your honeymoon!
