Hi! ok quick question i am planning to travel from hangzhou to
hainan and was wondering what is the best way to do this, i am
only going to be in china for 2-3weeks so time will be tight, but i
don't want to spend unnecessarily!

so could i get a train? what are they like, how much will they cost :
hard seats, soft seats etc,

OR is it just easier to get a flight - again how much would this be
etc/...

ooo and how long would journey times be?...

Thanks!

Hi Maz,

Airfare:
Hanzhou -> Sanya: CNY1750 or USD216
Hanzhou -> Haikou: CNY1540 or USD190

Above prices do not include airport construction fee or feul surcharge which cost totally about CNY90 or USD11

I don't think taking train is a good idea, you'll be exhausted after the long train ride, and the options are limited.

Hi Bellei,

ok i hope to be in hainan for about a week - well 5 nights and
shall be travelling from hangzhou prob in the last week of april.
love the site, but i have an apple mac laptop and its running very
slowly on it for some reason! prob pc orientated data!

but any tips of advice you have about hainan would be splendid.
looking for a super relaxing holiday - and itll be my friends bday
whilst i am there too, so places to eat and drink would be great
- especially as i am a vegetraian, but can and do love to eat
seafood!

will prob follow rita's advice and take the plane to hainan, being
tired and fed up after a train journey does not sound like fun!

also if you have any ideas of where to stay that would be useful
too!

Thanks!

Hi, Maz. Glad to see ur reply. Yes, the tax is high, I have heard one of my friends told me about that. As for the tickets, please keep in touch with me, 7-10days before u r going to leave for Sanya, I can offer u a favorable price. About hotels, please take a look at 'where to stay' on my website, there are some information about hotels in Hainan. Hope there are hotels u like. Any question, please feel free let me know. my email is: 100t.com|ella

Yes,I agree with Rita,train is not a good choice,you have to take a train from Hangzhou to Guangzhou,and then across the channel,so long time~~~~~~
