Hi, I need some advice!

I'm going to Yabuli snowboarding. I know in the USA, people can check-in snowboards at the airline counter, which probably counts as a piece of luggage which is fine.

How about in China? Can people check-in snowboards on a flight? Carry a snowboard on a TRAIN/BUS?

I'm thinking of flying from the US to Hong Kong, meet up with some people, then fly to Beijing, meet up with more people. Then head over to Yabuli (not sure yet if flying or taking a train).

Thanks for any advice you can provide!

Umm not sure if this helps but when I flew up to Harbin recently on china eastern airlines people were dragging on suitcases as carry on luggage so I kind of think maybe a snowboard is okay to carry on board. Just make sure you get on the plane early to secure valuable overhead luggage room as they cram them full and it can be a scramble on the internal flights to get space. I've flown in China before on local airlines where people have actually had to sit in the aisles!

Trains..I personally don't see that there would be a problem transporting snowboards on them.
