I am from Europe, so i am not using the US plugs for the power sockets plus we need 230 Volts and a different frequency.
Anyways, most things work with 110 volts, my qustion would be about the plugs, though... what do they look like? I couldn't find an adaptor for china on ebay...

the picture shows all power sockets types and your applicances need to adapt 220V/50Hz in China.

Electricity in China is 220V, 50 cycles, AC. Two-pin sockets and some three-pin sockets are in use. Most of the hotels have a socket in the bathroom for both 110V and 220V. However, outside of the bathroom, only 220V sockets are provided. Although an adapter may be borrowed from the hotel, it is recommended you bring your own adapter plug.

at least in bigger cities or in an international airport it is no problem to find those adaptors.
If you bring equipment with different voltage/frequency you also can buy transformers for little money.
