My Wife is Chinese from Guangxi Province. We plan to retire in CHina in 3 years perhaps in northern Guangxi near Guilin, Yangsho, Longshen area. I have a couple of questions I have gotten conflicting answers about:

1) can a US citizen or a couple (one chinese one US)buy land or property? Or, need it be bought by
the Chinese half of the couple?

2) Is land really owned?

3) Does anyone know of a person in the Northern Guangxi area - Guilin, Yangshou, Longshen area who can help us either buy land and build a home or buy an existing Home?
