Gambling is evil. It has caused misery and sometimes deaths to gamblers and their families. Yet many people still gamble. I visited Macau's casinos (to see but not to gamble) and I was sad to see many chinese playing at the tables. They will lose money for sure. So sad.

There is a Chinese saying 小赌贻情,大赌伤身(a littel gambling can make you happy but a big gambling will do harm to you).
Sadly, it's easy said than done. Not everyone can control themselves!
