I'm planing a trip to Macau in May, coming from China mainland. I will be there around the 13th May for a couple of days. After that I will move to Hong Kong. Could anybody tell me how the weather is at that time? I have heard about heavy rains and tropical typhoons that time of the year. Is it always true?

Regardless of the weather at that time of the year it will be hot but you should still be able to enjoy Macau dispite the weather.

Do you have a choice? If not just be prepared with a raincoat and umbrella and be prepared to have a good time rain or no rain.

It's such a great place

If you have a choice then October to December are the best months to visit.

Thanks for your answer. Yes, I know May is not the best time for Macau, but the question is: how bad is it?
