When do the chinese have their holdiday ? I know that 1 october is in the week that they have their holiday, but which are the other days they have their holiday? I heard that it is very busy then, so I want to make a reservation in advance in this week.

Yes, October 1 to 7 is the national Day of Chinese people, besides, May 1 to 7 is another national holiday in China.

Also the Spring Festival Holiday is 7 days long. And travel outside during these 7 days becomes more and more popular in most Chinese. So besides the Golden Week of May Day and National Day (Oct 1st), the 7-day holiday of the Chinese New Year is also the high season for travel.
