hey!!!! what about money in China????
are bills written also in western numbers???
other way .. how do i realise the amount of money i am paying for things??????

Those are not western numbers - they are Arabic.
The biggest denomination is 100 yuan (or dollar). So it is not too difficult to defray your concerns.

Yes,you can change money in the Bank of China.

Our currency including:
1Jiao/Mao,2Jiao/Mao,5Jiao/Mao,1Yuan,2Yuan,5Yuan,10Yuan,20Yuan,50Yuan,100Yuan;

For coins:
1Jiao/Mao,21Jiao/Mao,5Jiao/Mao and 1Yuan.

u can also change USD to RMB in bit hotels and airport. VISA card are also accepted by many banks. But I think cheque is a little difficult to encash. you'd better go to Bank of China!

What do you mean for some Visa cards accepted.
There is some kind of relation with the Bank who issued the card.

ATMs are available everywhere in CITIES, but seldom in countryside, towns and villages.

I don't think you can get money from every ATMs:-(

ATMs from Bank of China is the best choice!

Not all foreign issued credit cards are acceptable - except in big establishments like hotels, etc.
Bring more cash - but at a risk.
Can a tourist open an account with the Chinese bank, I wonder ? If so, this might be a way out.
