Gong to set off for summer hols soon ... would like to go to Beijing then off to Great Wall. Both of us never been there. How easy to go to Great Wall from Beijing?

Very easy, I'd say. However expect to pay more money to get it as easy as it comes. There're many different sections of the Wall accessible from Beijing, the most popular being (in no particular order) Badaling, Simatai, Jinshanling, Mutianyu and Juyongguan... and maybe more. Figure out which one you want to go to.

Yes,there were many sections in Beijing!You can choose one for visiting!

You can take a bus from the southwest of Tian'anmen Square,there was a bus to Badaling Great Wall.

Which is the 10k walk along the Wall and how do you get to the start, and where do you get picked up at the end of the day.

For the 10 km walk, get a driver to drop you off at Jinshanling and pick up at Simatai.
