Hi everybody! I wanna go to Yangshuo again at a time when there is high water in the Li River together with the rice fields flooded beside the river. I saw some amazing pictures seen from Moon Hill. All looked like a big flooding. Some rice fields are just planted. Does anybody knows at what time this normally occurs? Or is it just a situation during an abnormal long phase of rain fall? It means it will happen not each year!? Take all infos on that!
Thanks

I asked a friend in Guilin, she told me the planting period is around April 15 every year, usually there is a lot of water in the field at that time, but my friend was not sure if the "flood" you meant was because of the rainfall or not, April is also ther rainy season.

Flooded rice fields? yes, you have to go in april; but you should go to Longshen, better than Yangshuo for the rice terraces, because it is hilly.
bye!
