Hello all you seasoned China travelers! I am looking for a guided/organized (but not too) trip to China for my 81-year-old Dad and two 50-something 'kids'. First time trip. Interested in a river cruise- maybe 8-10 days max. Can you suggest a reputable company or interesting route? Dad is in great shape, so no problem there.Have NO idea where to start with this. Thanks for any help you can provide for us.

Hi,
81-year-old traveler! certainly, some people are sound and healthy in that age, but considering to choose a reliable travel agency and travel in "easy" places that not much climbings or trekkings invloved will be ok for senior citizen travelers.

TCG - travelchinaguide IS a travel agency, their website is very informative and helpful. Click the "China tours" button for more travel infos.

Welcome to CHINA!

Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai are all good to start with a lot of inbound international flights from almost all around the world. You can check with your local travel/ booking agencies to see the best discounted tickets to any of the above city.

Hi NNIXON,

If you prefer a river cruise, then Yangtze River Cruise is highly recommended. Amazing sceneries, grand ships will definitely make you feel enjoyable. Try it and it won't disappoint you.

Sanya also can't be lost. Right? Cali?

I think Sanya is suitable for seniors, because there is the best climate there.

Sanya, the unique tropical paradise in China!

: ))))) Anyway, Welcome to China!!!

Cities such as Beijing, Xian, Shanghai, Suzhou are better choice for seniors. Avoid the mountains & valleys or altiplano. Maybe you can consult with TCG tours. It seemed that they provide private China tours which should be more suitable to you and your dad.
