I've just discovered Putuo on the web - is it really so beautiful? I'm travelling to China in September.

Yes,it is beautiful,and you can take a boat from Ningbo to there!

Yes, it is inZhoushan. And there is also a Southern Putuo Temple in Xiamen.

putuoshan is closer to my hometown...it's really nice and special..beaches and temnples and amazing big stones

Putuo was one of the four Buddha places in China,and it belongs to kwan-yin.

Yes I know where Putup Shan Island is. I am actually visiting a friend in Shanghai and wanted to visit nearby areas.
