Hi all, I am in Guangzhou these days for Canton Fair and also will be here on 25 to 30th.I am staying in a hotel in Haizhu district around Chigang Area. would like to know where to hang out at nights! any good pubs or places to go ??
since I am on my own here, and would be happy to meet some friends as well.

I think you shouldn't lose the Pearl River Cruises in the night.

There were many kinds of boats,about 48RMB,2 hours.

I'll be in guangzhou very soon to look for IT stuff. I just wanted to know if anyone could tell me how to go about, as in transportation wise? Are the cabs trustable and how much would cabs generally cost?

Also, how about if i need to go to shenzen from guangzhou? How much would that cost by train? Also, please let me know what the exchange rate is in dollars?

Taxis get stuck in traffic.
D train (fastest, most comfortable) for Guangzhou -- Shenzhen costs 43-55 RMB.
Look on http://www.xe.com for the current exchange rates.

No need to go by taxi. Take bus or train. Around 1 hour or less, I think.
