I'm a US Citizen traveling to Hong Kong next month. I
heard that I can get a tourist visa to visit mainland
China after I arrive in Hong Kong. Is that true? Where
do I go to do this? Any other information about this?

Yes, you could apply for a visa to mainland China in Hong Kong local embassy. You need to wait for 2 to 3 working days to get it. If your time is not flexible, you can apply for an emergency visa and pay the additional charge, then you could get it within half day. Hope it helps.

Hi,

in Hong Kong you can receive a new visa (also for 6 months with maximally 3 months extension) in almost any travel agency within a few days. A new passport photo is necessary in each case.

This travel agency office lies central in Kowloon and is only 5 minutes far from the inexpensive Guest Houses in the Nathan Road 30.
