| It's over 1200 km away from Shanghai to Changcha!! You need a train or flight, I'm afraid. You can take K136 which starts from Shanghai at 13.58 and arrives at Changsha at 8.27 the third day. You can also take a flight. There are many flights from Shanghai to Changsha and they will cost you less than 2 hours. |

| Thanks again for all your replies. Well I made it there and back. Totally stuffed up with my directions from australia but sorted it out from Shanghai. Had a great trip and arrived back in oz yesterday via HK. My trip 1 hour flight from Shanghai to Wenzhou then 2 hour drive to where I wanted to be.Great people and things went smoothly with a translator. I was really ignorant thinking that everone speaks english ...and appreciate that "there are more of them than us" so next time I shall try to be more flexible and try and learn a little of the local language....] A great learning experience and great friendships were established... again thanks to all for your replies... Cheers,Ian... |
