| Translators, hmm! where do they take the Foreigners for sightseeing? Strange you never really see any foreigners, except in mainly English speaking areas of the city.Guangzhou is a very large populated city. You can spot tourist on tour buses(for English speaking people). You can see them on Canton Fair shuttle buses, and of course the Canton Fair, and other worldly functions held in Guangzhou. So lets see. Some people want to see the sights. Some do,but they are rarely visible to the naked eye.The tourist, the ones who work here teaching school, are always in taxis.Perhaps they live in the hotels, and seldom venture outside. The few American hotels seen, for tourist, are mainly filled with Chinese and other Asian tourist.Speak about Americans for any reason being in Guangzhou, they are afraid to speak to even when they bump into,as there eyes are always downward,so they cant actually see you.In the American Embassy, the few who are there, will not even speak to you.(by the way, there must be a lot of Asian Americans,as they are mostly all you do see.) Its just a thought.Where do all the Americans hide, and yet travel so much in the city, that they are seldom observed. This can be complexing. |
