Since u will be stationed in Macau for a while, why not consider having nothing to do with the USA for a while as well ? Try to be with the locals.
But am sure there are almost everything u need in Macau - it is not a backward region, tho not as cosmopolitan as HK.

GUEST02306 If your moving to Macau be prepared to be almost completely cut off from the outside world. You can get CNN, BBC, and bloomberg, thank god, but all aljazeera, CNBC, MSNBC, and all the other news channels people who travel normally watch are not available. Ajzaeera used to be here, but Cable TV stopped it. There is also no access to all the shows from the US, no access to Showtime, HBO. there is simply no good quality content available for you. There is no satelite TV on top of this. its illegal to have your own satelite. There are three satelitte companies but they told us that even if we were able to install the dish, the satellite company that provides the dish cant guarantee that you will receive any of the channels from the USA due to bandwidth, we looked into this option closely as we were dying living here being so cut off from the outside world. You can download from the internet, but the internt connections in Macau are so slow it will take you days to download a program. Its much better to live in HK to be connected with the outside world. Or you can go to HK and go to big DVd stores like HMV that have a wider selection of DVDs including TV series, there are only mom n pop DVD shops in Macau with horrible selection. Sorry for the bad news, but the reality is that Macau is in the dark ages.
