I will be in Beijing for about 10 days and I would like to know where are good spots to go for nightlife. I am also looking for good places to shop for electronics. Can anybody help me out?

Beijingnese and most foreigners often go to some bars and clubs to spend their nightlives. If it is your first time to Beijing, why not to watch the famous Peking Opera and enjoy the Duck Dinner.

So many spots for entertainment. Here I will recommend the Sanlitun Bar Street.
This is a street with pubs and bars, all next to one another, on 1 side of the street. It does not feel as lively as the nightlife district in other places but should be experience so you have a feel of Beijing nightlife. Apparently Sanlitun used to be "The place" but has lost popularity in the last few years as crowds move elsewhere.
There are some "sales" guys at the entrance to most establishments ushering you to go into their place. It is basically all the same, just different bands performing. Pick 1 that you like and enter. If you are by yourself or with a bunch of males, you might find some ladies offering you their "service".
Drinks are quite costly compared to elsewhere. I think average about RMB50 a drink.

and if you want to buy some electronic products about computer, digital camera and video, Zhongguan Cun (touted as China's Silicon Valley), to the northwest of Beijing, was depicted as innovative, dynamic, and even sexy. Alas, with an education system that stifles creativity and a legal system incapable of enforcing intellectual property laws, copying software remains China's forte. (And software engineers are seldom sexy.) Don't rely on pirated software, but computer games usually work and computer whizzes have been known to build a computer from scratch here. Take bus no. 808 from Xi Zhi Men.
