Taiyuan air quality

I'm applying for an ESL teaching job in Taiyuan, Shanxi. I understand the air pollution is bad there. Can anyone tell me anything about this? How bad is it? Would a person not want to live there because of it? Thanks.

Don't worry about that. The air of the main city district is much better than the suburb. And improveed by the government, it is better than before, than what you imagined. One point you must remember if the ait is not clean, please don't wear the light colour cloth.
