How much does it cost to mail a suitcase from Kunming (to another Chinese city)? WHat's the cost/kg?

Well, it depends on how heavy your suitcase is. To take your suitcase to the railway station and have it weighed is the cheapest way(a ticket to the destination will save more). Or you can just call CRE (China Railway Express) to do everything for you but the charge is much higher.
