we r finally leaving to shanghai on may 10th...
any suggestions about the zone where budget hotels are????

well... i have made 2 reservations in Shanghai
1.- balon homelike hotel
2.- amersino htel

both at USD 17.- per night....

now i m looking for something in Xi'an...

If you want to choose a hostel,I think Shuyuan Hostel is better in Xi'an.
