train cost in china

I am traveling around china for the first time by train. Just wondering how much of a budget i should set aside for transport. I am traveling from BK to Shanghai, shanghai to bejing, bejing to xian, xian to chengdu, chengdu back to BK. Also considering flying from BK to shanghai so how much would be the cheapest flight.

What's BK? Do you mean Bangkok? There're no trains from Bangkok to Shanghai, you'll have to fly. There're also no trains from Chengdu to Bangkok.
Shanghai -- Beijing on Z train soft sleeper is 478/499 RMB.
Beijing -- Xi'an on Z train soft sleeper is 400/417 RMB.
Xi'an -- Chengdu on T train hard sleeper is 195/201/209 RMB.
